Guide Training
Sea kayak & SUP professional guide training on Nova Scotia’s South Shore, just 1.5hrs from Halifax. Together this series of courses is designed to develop well-rounded sea kayak & SUP guides and instructors who are adaptable to an ever-changing marine environment as well as to their clients’ interests and needs. Working on the water with human beings is dynamic - guiding is a profession that offers lifelong learning opportunities and a multitude of career paths. It’s far from being just a summer job! Guiding can take you all over the world, working with inspired people in beautiful locations. We love guiding - and we think you will too!
The following courses can be taken together or separately depending on each individual learners' needs and interests. Prerequisites include Sea Kayak Skills Level 1 for the sea kayak stream & Advanced Flatwater SUP for the SUP stream. For those residing in the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg, you may be eligible for a Leadership Grant to help cover tuition costs.
