Level 1 Sea Kayak Instructor

Do you want to share your love of kayaking with others? This Level-1 Sea Kayak Instructor course provides national certification in the instruction and administration of the Paddle Canada Level-1 Skills course. In this course, you will improve your on the water group management skills, develop lesson plans, and practice assessment skills.
As a Level-1 Instructor, you are certified to:
- conduct Waterfront Kayak, Basic Kayak and Level-1 Skills courses and certify paddlers at those levels,
- assist a Level-2 Instructor on a Level-2 Skills course, and
- assist a Basic Kayak Instructor Trainer on a Basic Kayak Instructor or Waterfront

Because our courses, tours and rentals have a limited number of spots available, we have to turn people away once our bookings are full. Due to this, we cannot refund or reschedule within 48hrs for day tours and rentals, 30 days for courses, and 60 days for multidays unless a suitable replacement is found. If a replacement is found, or for cancellations further in advance, a full refund less a 20% administration fee will be issued.
Our cancellation policy must apply even in the event of a medical problem or family circumstance. We will do everything possible to fill your vacant spot for you. In the case of a Force Majeure, such as but not limited to acts of terrorism, war, pandemics, labour disputes, government actions, strikes, or major adverse weather conditions, all terms and conditions may be subject to change. We reserve the right to cancel or alter any clinics or trips due to weather or insufficient registration. In these cases, full refunds will be issued and we will do our best to reschedule.
