    Anjeanette LeMay

Anjeanette (AJ) is a mother and educator grateful to live, play, and learn in the forests, lakes and ocean of Mi’kmaki (Nova Scotia). Her introduction to boats came at age 8 at a sprint racing canoe and kayak club on a muddy Southern Ontario creek. A love of being on the water was deeply instilled, listening to the geese wake up in morning mist, feeling the flow of the boat in all weather conditions, connected to a slice of nature below busy city streets. AJ didn’t get out on a multiday paddling trip until her 20’s; being able to explore with a boat and not go indoors at theend of the day sealed the deal.

AJ has put her Bachelor of Education to use in public, independent and Montessori schools as well as outdoor education centres. She worked full time for Outward Bound programs in South Africa and Canada for several years. AJ has also been involved with the Nova Scotia Sea School since 2015 and currently contributes to the Leadership Development Sub-Committee. AJ is an Outdoor Council of Canada and Paddle Canada instructor. She loves playing on the water and building bridges for people of all ages to connect with and learn through the outdoors.
