Cole Hayes

Born and raised in Chester on Nova Scotia’s South Shore, Cole has always loved the ocean and the outdoors. Growing up in an adventure-based family, he was rarely ever indoors and fell in love with exploring and photographing the province he calls home. From canoe tripping to rock climbing to mountain biking to hiking, there are few places he hasn’t been and few outdoor activities he hasn’t tried. However, he recently discovered his love for sea kayaking through a two-week-long sea kayak course guided by Cape LaHave Adventures, which has opened new doors for exploration of his home and has become a newfound passion.

Cole also has years of experience in leadership roles working with youth at the Chester
Recreation Department and Brigadoon Village. His love for working with youth has led him to pursue a Bachelor of Education at St.FX University in Antigonish during the oT-season. Where he also serves as the president of the Outdoor Society, continuing to get more people outside!
