Undine Foulds

Undine comes to the east coast from the west, where she first learned to swim and canoe on Kootenay Lake. Raised by mountain hippies, she worked as a hiking guide, on ski patrol, and as an outdoor education program facilitator throughout BC. Now based on the Atlantic coast, she loves sea kayaks for their ability to move you through environments with a High Sneak Factor, such as along the in-between of land and water, quietly past seals, or amongst shore bird drama. With 7-years experience guiding backcountry trips for all ages, Undine welcomes curious, adventurous trip companions to explore the Lahave Islands together.

Half bear/ half mermaid, Undine is often seen eating berries and going for a swim. As a guide, she brings further perspective from the variety of communities that claim her, including the Métis Nation of British Columbia, the Republic of Ireland, the working artists, the fat people in sports, and the gays.
